Weddings

The bar, handled, so nobody in your wedding party is pouring drinks

We run the bar at weddings across Virginia Beach, Norfolk and all seven cities of Hampton Roads. Waterfront, barn, ballroom, backyard and boat. Licensed, insured, and used to working alongside your planner, your venue and your caterer.

Whether you want a full bar with signature cocktails or one bartender and a shopping list, the goal is the same: a wedding where the drinks are handled and nobody has to think about them.

À la carte · 4-hour minimum · setup and breakdown available

  • One crew across ceremony, cocktail hour and reception

Set up for success, not sold a package

The most useful thing we do for a couple is tell them what they do not need. A second bar for eighty guests. A signature cocktail that takes ninety seconds to build. Two hundred champagne flutes for a toast that half the room will not drink.

You get an itemized estimate you can read line by line, a shopping list if you are buying the alcohol, and a straight answer on staffing based on your timeline rather than a formula. Change your mind about any of it and the number changes with you.

The whole weekend, or just the part you need

Most couples book the reception and then add the welcome party once they realize how much easier it is to hand over.

  • Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception

One bar plan across the whole day, built around your timeline rather than three separate bookings. Water and a non-alcoholic option at the ceremony, a fast bar for the hour everyone arrives at once, then a slower service through dinner and dancing.

  • Cocktail hour only

The hour that decides how the night feels. Two hundred people want a drink in the first fifteen minutes, so this is staffed for the rush rather than for the headcount.

  • Welcome party

The night before, usually somewhere more relaxed. A backyard, a rental house, a brewery. Often the first time both families are in one room, and worth doing properly.

  • Rehearsal dinner

Smaller, seated, and more about wine and a signature cocktail than a full bar. One bartender is usually enough, and we will tell you when it is.

  • Morning-after brunch

Mimosas, a bloody mary bar, coffee that is actually good. Runs on a fraction of the staff of the night before and sends everyone home well.

  • Micro-weddings and elopements

Twenty people on a beach or a boat. Everything scales down, including the price. There is no minimum guest count on a wedding, only a four-hour minimum on service.

Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg. We are a preferred vendor at most of these. Plus private homes, backyards, rental properties and boats: a named venue is not a requirement. If yours is not here, ask. And if your venue runs its own food and beverage, we can still work it as staffing support, our bartenders and servers under their program, so ask either way.

How a wedding runs with us

  1. Tell us the date and the venue

That is enough for us to say yes or no on availability and to know what your venue is going to ask us for.

  2. We build the plan around your timeline

Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, last call. Staffing follows the peaks instead of the guest count, which is what stops a twenty-minute line at seven o'clock.

  3. You get a shopping list, or we buy it

If you are providing the alcohol we send an itemized list (brands, bottle counts, what to skip) costed to your headcount. If you would rather not think about it, we handle the purchasing.

  4. We talk to your venue and your caterer

Insurance certificate, load-in window, where the bar can physically go, who is responsible for ice and trash. Settled between us before the week of the wedding rather than on the day.

  5. We arrive early and leave it clean

Setup is ours. Breakdown is ours. Nobody in a dress is carrying a folding table at midnight.

What couples ask us

Do you provide the alcohol?

Either way works. Most couples buy their own. It is almost always cheaper, and we send a free alcohol budget with your estimate so you can see the per-drink cost, and the itemized shopping list once you book. So you are not guessing at bottle counts. If you would rather hand it over, we can purchase it and bill it through.

Whichever you choose, we bring the mixers, garnishes, ice, tools and glassware.

Our venue needs a certificate of insurance. Can you send one?

Yes, and we do it routinely. Tell us the venue name and the exact wording they require, including any additional insured endorsement, and we will get it to them directly. This is a normal part of the booking, not a special request.

How many bartenders do we actually need?

It depends more on your timeline than your headcount. A hundred and fifty guests arriving at a cocktail hour all at once needs more bar than two hundred spread across a long reception.

Tell us the schedule and we will give you a straight answer, including when you need fewer than you think. We would rather quote you correctly than oversell a bar that stands idle after dinner.

Do you work with our planner and caterer?

Constantly, and we prefer it. Your caterer usually owns the food timeline and the venue owns the load-in rules, and the bar has to fit both. We will talk to them directly so the three of us are not sending you messages to relay.

What happens if it rains?

We need the bar under cover, so an outdoor plan needs a workable wet-weather position. A tent, a porch, indoors. Decide it in advance with your venue rather than on the morning.

We will set up wherever that alternative is at no extra charge. What we cannot do is pour in the rain.

When do you arrive, and when do you leave?

We arrive early enough to be finished setting up before your first guest, which is usually an hour to ninety minutes ahead depending on the bar. Breakdown takes another thirty to sixty minutes after last call.

Setup and breakdown are quoted separately from your hours of bar service, so you are not paying service rates for us carrying tables.

Can we do signature cocktails?

Yes, and two is the number that works. Named, batched in advance and poured fast. His and hers, or one from each hometown. More than two and the cocktail hour slows to a crawl while someone builds drinks to order.

Send us what you like drinking and we will design them around it and print a menu for the bar.

How far in advance should we book?

For a Saturday in peak season, as soon as you have the venue. We hold one date at a time and turn away other work for it, so the calendar closes earliest on exactly the dates most people want.

That said, ask anyway. Late availability happens more often than you would expect.

Send us the date and the venue. You will get availability, an itemized estimate and a straight recommendation on staffing — usually within one business day.

Let's get started

Tell us about your event.

Send us the date, the venue and the headcount. You'll get an itemized estimate, a custom cocktail menu and honest guidance — free, with nothing committed. Once you book, we send the shopping list: what to buy, what it should cost, and where to get it.

10% off for military and first responders. Free consultation, no obligation.

We've poured at weddings, festivals and a few parties we're not allowed to talk about. Every one of them started with this question.

Are you 21 or older?

Virginia law requires a yes before we can show you the bar.
