- Trained to manage service and cut someone off discreetly
A bartender pours. Ours build, too.
We do not split the room into two roles. Every bartender we send already thinks like a mixologist, because we plan the drink list and the logistics with you first, then send a crew that can execute all of it themselves: real technique, fresh juice and house syrups, a menu built for your event.
Irregular yacht bartending, and flair bartending when available, run at a higher rate. Our bartenders are some of the best around, and we love to show off our craft.
Roles you can book
Bartender, beer & wine
The simplest setup and the shortest shopping list. Fast, friendly service for a room that is not drinking cocktails.
Bartender, full bar
Beer, wine, spirits and a set list of cocktails made properly. The workhorse role at most events. From $40/hr per bartender.
Mixologist
Designs and executes your menu. Fresh juice, house syrups, proper technique, and a named drink for the occasion if you want one.
Bar-back
Keeps a busy bar stocked with ice, glassware and product so the bartenders never leave the rail. Worth it above roughly 150 guests. $35/hr.
Cocktail server
Tray service and passed drinks, so guests are served where they are standing rather than queuing. $35/hr.
Beverage director
One person owning the whole beverage operation on site, so you never have to answer a question about it all night.
Wine professional
Pairings, tastings and wine-led service. Knows the order to pour in, when to decant, and how to talk a table through what is in the glass. $50/hr each.

How the staffing plan comes together
-
Tell us the headcount and the hours
Guest count, bar open and close, and the venue. That is enough for a real number.
-
We size the team
Roughly one bartender per 75 guests for steady service, tightened when everyone arrives at once. Bar-backs above 150.
-
We arrive early and set
Setup and breakdown are quoted separately so the service hours you pay for are service hours.
-
You get one itemized invoice
Staff, rentals and fees separated line by line at our published rates.
Questions about bartenders
How many bartenders do we need?
Roughly one per 75 guests for steady service. If everyone arrives inside a short window, like a ribbon cutting or a reception straight after a ceremony, you want more across fewer hours. The estimate builder works it out from your guest count and we check it against your timeline.
What does a bartender cost?
Every staff member is billed per person, per hour, with a 4-hour minimum.
- Bartender: $40/hr each, any style of bar.
- Wine professional: $50/hr each.
- Bar-back and cocktail server: $35/hr each.
- Boat, yacht and excursion events: $50/hr across every role, because once you push off the crew is aboard until you are back.
Those are staffing rates only. Drinks, mixers, ice, glassware and supplies are quoted separately, per item or per guest depending on what it is, and you buy the alcohol yourself.
Do you supply the alcohol?
No, and that is deliberate. You buy it at retail in your own name and keep the margin that a bar service would otherwise take. We give you a shopping list telling you exactly what to buy, how much and roughly what it should cost.
Do you bring your own tools?
Yes. Wine keys, bottle openers, pour spouts, shakers, strainers and the rest of the bar kit come with the team. Bars, glassware and ice are separate rentals if you need them.
Is gratuity included?
Events of 100 guests or more carry a service charge of $3 to $6 per guest, which goes to the crew and takes the place of tipping. Under 100 guests, gratuity is optional and entirely your call.
Can a bartender cut someone off?
Yes, and they will. Our team is trained to manage service and stop serving quietly, usually with a glass of water and a conversation rather than a confrontation. That judgment belongs to them on the night.
Not sure how many you need? The estimate builder works it out from your guest count, and we sanity-check it against your arrival pattern before we quote.
Tell us about your event.
Send us the date, the venue and the headcount. You'll get an itemized estimate, a custom cocktail menu and honest guidance — free, with nothing committed. Once you book, we send the shopping list: what to buy, what it should cost, and where to get it.
10% off for military and first responders. Free consultation, no obligation.
