- The same crew across a multi-day run where possible
The part of an event nobody notices until it is missing
Nobody compliments the waitstaff at a well-run event, because a well-run event does not draw attention to how it is run. Glasses get cleared before anyone looks for somewhere to put them, the buffet never looks picked over, and the room is reset before you have thought about it.
That is the job. Dependable, on time, uniformed, and briefed on your run of show before they arrive.
What our waitstaff handle
Butler & passed service
Trays of drinks and canapés worked through the room. Ideal for a welcome drink as guests arrive, and for keeping drinks moving once the event is underway.
Buffet management
Keeping the line moving, the platters full and the station looking like it did at the start of the night.
Cocktail service
Tray service alongside the bar. A line still forms, but fewer people stand in it, and the guests who would never queue still get a drink. $35/hr.
Setup & breakdown
Tables, linens, glassware, bars and equipment in before your guests and out after them.
Clean-up & reset
The room handed back the way the venue expects it, on the venue's deadline.
Greeters & coat check
The first face at the door, which is worth more than people think at a corporate or political event.
Party host assistant
The same waitstaff, pointed at hosting instead of serving a line. They pour wine, help with drinks, set the tables and the food spread, keep it topped up, clear dishes and glassware, handle the trash and prep in the kitchen. $35/hr.

Questions about waitstaff
What does waitstaff cost?
$35 an hour per person, with a 4-hour minimum. Crew on the water is $50 an hour. Setup and breakdown are quoted separately so you can see what you are paying for.
How many do we need?
It depends more on the service style than the guest count. Passed service through a standing room needs more people than a seated buffet. Tell us the shape of the event and we will tell you the number, and say so if you are over-staffing.
Do they serve alcohol?
Cocktail servers carry and serve drinks, but anything poured is poured by a certified bartender. If you want drinks passed as well as poured, you need both roles and we will size them together.
Can they set up tables and linens?
Yes. Setup, breakdown, reset and clean-up are all part of what the crew does. Tell us what the venue expects the room to look like at the end and we will plan backwards from that.
Will they work with our caterer?
Yes, and we do it constantly. Tell us who the caterer is and we will coordinate directly so the two teams are not solving the same problem twice.
Can we book waitstaff without a bar?
Absolutely. Plenty of our waitstaff bookings have no bar at all.
What is a party host assistant?
It is our waitstaff doing the job you would otherwise be doing yourself. The same people at the same $35 an hour, working like a host rather than a server.
They pour wine and help with drinks, set the tables and lay out the food spread, keep it topped up and looking right, clear dishes and glassware, deal with the trash, tidy as the night goes and reset the room at the end. They work in the kitchen too, chopping, cutting and prepping trays, and helping with light cooking.
Put a certified bartender behind the bar and a party host assistant in the room and there is nothing left for you to do. You get to relax and enjoy your own evening, which is the entire point of hiring it out.
Waitstaff pair naturally with a bar team, and we can crew both from one plan and one invoice. A certified bartender behind the bar and a party host assistant in the room is the combination that turns the host back into a guest.
Tell us about your event.
Send us the date, the venue and the headcount. You'll get an itemized estimate, a custom cocktail menu and honest guidance — free, with nothing committed. Once you book, we send the shopping list: what to buy, what it should cost, and where to get it.
